2018 Cirrus SR22T-G6 - €775,000 (Plus VAT for sales within the UK)

🛩️ 2018 Cirrus SR22T G6 – N811DM

With a factory new, properly broken-in engine (100 hours since new), a zero-timed factory-refurbished propeller, and nearly every premium option available, N811DM is a seriously capable machine.

The engine and propeller are both under warranty for another 18 months.

💡 Engine Performance

I personally handled the break-in, following the factory procedures exactly. The results speak for themselves:

  • Initial compressions: 74–78
  • Oil consumption: 1 qt per 15–20 flight hours
  • CHTs during climb: 330–350°F (never exceeded 362°F)
  • CHTs in cruise: 300–328°F
  • Typical cruise at FL170: 187 KTAS on 16.3 GPH, TIT 1560°F, CHT 296°F

🌍 Range & Mission Profile

After the 25-hour break-in, I ferried DM personally from North Carolina to the UK without a hitch, routing via:

New York → Martha’s Vineyard → Boston → Portland → Bangor → Goose Bay → Nuuk (Greenland) → Kulusuk → Reykjavik → Wick → Norwich

She has since flown to Europe six times, including Bergen and the fjords. On one return flight from Bergen to Norwich:

  • 2 hours 40 minutes flight time
  • 4 adults + luggage + raft + TKS + full O₂
  • Still landed with 2.1 hours of fuel

⚙️ Key Extras & Features

  • Factory Air Conditioning (a must-have)
  • Factory Oxygen System
  • Satellite Phone and Weather Link – invaluable for real-time weather rerouting
  • EVS Camera – excellent for night/cloud penetration awareness
  • Garmin Perspective+ NXI – a major step up from older G1000 systems
  • Tanis Engine Pre-Heater – essential for winter ops
  • Spectra Wingtip Lighting – superior visibility in air

🧼 Condition & History

The first owner was the coach of the Dallas Mavericks (hence “DM”), followed by a North Carolina medical testing company using it for daily sample collection—resulting in an almost-new interior.

Inspected by RGV upon UK arrival and now completing a fresh annual with flying colours.

💰 Value Proposition

With only 100 hours on the new engine and propeller, N811DM is effectively a G7 at a fraction of the cost:

  • Priced at €790,000
  • Over €600,000 less than a new G7
  • No waitlist, no ferry cost

💬 Why a New Engine Was Fitted

After nearly buying a low-hour G5 that suffered a loss of power during the acceptance flight, I discovered the hidden risks of older, low-utilisation engines.

Many such aircraft (under 60 hrs/year) risk cam lobe pitting—especially when cylinders are changed. That often leads to a required full camshaft overhaul, not just a top-end job—expensive, time-consuming, and frustrating.

That’s why I proactively replaced the engine with a brand-new factory unit before even flying N811DM. It’s flown 110 hours in six months and still has 18 months of factory warranty left. Ask any serious mechanic—they’ll confirm that’s where the real value lies.
